Bus Safety: The safety of students at GFMS is very important to us. Carmel has a very detailed and supportive bus system that we hope would be the means to have our students transported to and from school. 1) MORNING DROP OFF: One issue that challenges students' safety is being dropped off in the morning. If you do need to drive your student to school in the morning, we ask that you enter the faculty lot, which is the first lot on the right as you enter the school's driveway, and that you stay to the outside of the lot until your vehicle gets to the sidewalk in front of the tennis courts to drop off your child. Please do not drive up the aisles between the parked cars or drop your child off in these areas, as this is a major safety issue with the number of cars trying to park and the difficulty of not expecting to see students walking between cars in the parking lot. 2) PM DISMISSAL: We ask for your support in keeping our children safe at dismissal as well, by picking up your child in the small cafeteria. In the interest of safety, we cannot afford to have any exceptions to this. Having children pass between the buses in the front of the building is not a safe situation. We want to be sure that our students are safe at all times .
