Parent Drop Off & Dismissal Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we prepare for the school year, please review the following arrival and dismissal procedures to help ensure a safe and efficient process for everyone.
Morning Parent Drop-Off

• Parent drop-off will take place from 7:50 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. in the back of the building.
• After 8:10 a.m., all students being dropped off must enter through the main entrance.

Afternoon Parent Pick-Up

• Parent pick-up will continue to take place in the back of the building. Please bring proper identification with you. 
• Parents may begin parking in the back lot at 2:35 p.m.
• Buses will begin departing at 2:56 p.m.

Please be aware that buses always have priority during arrival and dismissal. As a result, you will likely experience some delays and should expect to wait in traffic until the buses have safely departed from the building in both the morning and afternoon. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Transportation Changes
If your child will:

• Be picked up early,
• Be going home with a different adult, or
• Have a change in their usual bus transportation,

Please send a written note or email to the school no later than 12:30 p.m. each day. Emails should be sent to Judite Gonzalez at jgonzale@carmelschools.org and Diana Albert at dalbert@carmelschools.org

This deadline allows the office staff time to notify the appropriate staff and helps ensure that dismissal runs as smoothly and safely as possible. Of course, exceptions will be made in the event of a genuine emergency.
