Charlie Seddio, Team 5 D

Hello Team 5D Family!  We are so happy & proud to announce the presentation of Team 5D's CITIZENSHIP AWARD!   The Team 5D recipient of this prestigious award embodies Carmel's 6 Cs and we acknowledge his Citizenship in service to his fellow man. Weeks ago, Charlie and his mom started sewing and donating masks to front line workers.  Charlie quickly moved from ironer to cutter, to full-blown sewer! His mom is so very proud of him and so are we! Charlie and his mom are making two kinds of fabric masks, ones with a pocket where a filter can be added, and ones without the pocket.  They're both washable.  They also are making HEPA masks for front line workers like nurses who are more exposed. Those are not washable. The HEPA masks are donated to NY hospitals, FDNY, ems, etc. Together, Charlie and mom have literally donated over 800 masks and continue to work to make masks for both facilities and individuals that need them.  Wow!!

Charlie Seddio is one of the unsung heroes of this extraordinarily difficult time as our country and the world work to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. We are so thankful for all Charlie has done for our community!  He is our hero!
